Grace Community Church in Sand footprints in sand

Pray for Bill and Beckie Kiddoo, with their children Leslie, Laura, and Lynn in England.

Bill, and Beckie

Thank you for the great part you play in bringing hope to those we have the privilege of getting to know here in the Birmingham area.

Please continue to pray for Grace Church in Shirley and Grace Community Church in Frankley as we seek to share the hope we have in Christ.

Pray also as we look beyond and build new relationships.

Winston Kiddoo
Training in progress!

Winston joined our household in May. He will be two in September. At this point it is hard to determine who is training whom. Bill says he is the boss! Winston is certainly very friendly and so far everyone who has come to the house has liked him.
He cooperated at our first summer barbecue. Let's hope it continues or he will spend some lonely hours in a bedroom. He really is Bill's buddy! A couple weeks ago Beckie threatened that either the dog needed to go or she would - but that threat has not been repeated for a few days!

May Spiritual Seeds Grow and the Son Shine In
Summer 2009

Dear Grace Community Church,
Summer is certainly here and we look forward to seeing the seeds we have planted produce new life. It is time for the personal watering process that goes with the relaxing time around meals together. We are grateful for the many blessings we have seen and are always amazed at God's faithfulness to us.
We want to thank you for being part of our team. We are totally reliant on God and His work to bring about anything good through our ministry. Please continue with us before the throne of grace.
In His Grip! Bill and Beckie Kiddoo

Coffee Morning

We're hosting a coffee morning in early July (either the 4th or 11th) to raise money for Open Doors and also have a good 'excuse' to invite people over. Please pray for good conversations (and decent weather!).

Thanks for praying for the transition at Grace Church Shirley. That transition to local leadership is now complete. Please pray for the leadership team which consists of: Malcolm Stevens (Elder), Andy Cooper (Deacon), Shelagh Griffiths (Deaconess), and Graham Greenwood (Deacon). Gordon Sumner is a retired Baptist minister from a church that closed down just outside Birmingham. He and his wife Freda worship with us regularly and Gordon preaches from time to time. All of Grace Church Shirley is a team effort.
Thanks for remaining part of that team in prayer before the throne of Grace. We still see Grace Church as our church home and help out more in a background capacity. Bill is still on the preaching rota and Beckie helps out when there is Sunday school.

Brian is the assistant caretaker at Lighthall school where both Grace Church and the Hollywood Film Club meet. Brian's parents moved to Birmingham from Ireland where Brian has lived all his life. Brian and Shaun, Brian's son, went out with Andy Cooper and Bill for an Indian meal last Saturday evening to say thank you to Brian for all the work he does for us. It was a great time with them. The Lord opened the door for us to share the gospel with them both.
Please pray that the Lord will take what has been sown and bring forth fruit.
